American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card offers very attractive rewards and even allows you to transfer reward points to use for other programs e.g. your frequent flyer miles, or hotel stays. Two other attractive features are - the points don't expire and there is no upper limit for the points.

Currently American Express is offering 25,000 bonus points - for a limited time - you can use them toward domestic airline ticket. You can take advantage of this special offer of 25,000 bonus points if you spend $1,000 within the first three months. Typically the points are 15,000.
In addition you can earn 15,000 bonus points yearly if you spend $30,000 or more that year (calendar year).

When you charge your airline ticket purchase with the AMEX Premier Gold Card you will receive 3x the points (on airfare), for gas and groceries 2x and all other purchase give you 1x points per dollars spent. If you use the American Express Bonus Points Mall for online shopping you will also earn 3x the points for those purchase.

You can use the points you earn in variety of ways - American Express Travel - fly any airline, any time, anywhere (no blackout dates), redeem points for shopping or gift cards etc., and/or transfer points to your frequent flyer programs.

This card also comes with roadside assistance when traveling - 24-hrs a day. If you need to rent a car you can be covered by insurance provided by the card - as long as you use your AMEX Premier Rewards Gold Card.

The card doesn't have a pre-set spending limit and you do not have interest charges as you pay the balance on the card in full each month.

Premium Gold Card charges many typical credit card related fees including a late payment - $35 or 2.99% whichever is higher - and returned payment fee of $38. The annual fee for the first year is waived and after that the annual fee is $175. If you use your AMEX Premium Gold Card abroad there is a 2.7% transaction fee for each purchase or transaction.
